Question by diamondsux: How do you cure pain from surgical scar tissue (adhesions) without taking OTC painkillers?
Over the counter painkillers do not work for me. Neither does a heating pad. How can I relieve the pain from this surgical scar tissue without having more surgery? My doctor gave me some Vicodin in the past, which did help, but she is worried about addiction with that. So I have to find an alternate pain relief. Please help, going out of my mind!

My girlfriend suffers from ulcer pains in her stomach. I don’t know to much about it but she says that drinking milk sometimes helps, i just want to know if there is anything else that can help her. I hate feeling like there’s nothing i can do to help her… so yeah.

About 3 months ago I started to experience a burning pain on the bottom of my foot by my arch which would radiate up to the side of the inside of my foot. I have to wear safety shoes at work. I also started hitting my tread mill pretty hard, trying to lose weight.

i used to get that too. it’s like when your calf muscles are really tight that they pull on the muscles in your feet. just stretch more. im sure you know how to stretch your calf muscles (or just look up a few different ways of doing it) and do that 2-3 times a day for 5 minutes each time you do it. it should start to improve.

I didn’t wake up with the neck pain, as a matter of fact it didn’t start hurting until a couple hours later. When I turn my head to the right, or tilt my head upwards the pain is excruciating in the right side/shoulder area. When turn to the left or look down it doesn’t hurt as much if at all. I tried icy hot with not much relief, and if I try to stretch it becomes to unbearable. I can’t go to a doctor because I no longer have insurance. Any home remedies somebody can share?

I suggest you should go to the hospital’s department of rehabilitation.I think your neck pain is likely to fracture from your symptoms.

People will say something like “Just focus on school or work and hobbies and you will meet someone when you least expect it”.

But how can you do that when anytime you turn on the tv you see tv shows with romance plots, anytime you turn on the radio you hear songs about dating and love. Anytime you go out you see beautiful women everywhere, you see couples everywhere.

I can barely go a day without being reminded of what i’m missing out on.

This pain has been going on for years, i’d say it’s been going on since high school and i’m 23 now although it’s gotten worse as time has gone on.

Stop being so sad about it. You might think everyone is dating but in reality they’re not. When you least expect it…. it will happen so be patient and do things that you love and you’ll find someone just don’t rush it..

I’ve had terrible back pain behind my shoulder blades & upper back region for the past four days so I’m doing to the doctor soon. I read symptoms for pinched nerves (tingling, muscle weakness) that fit my pain.

Do you think I’ll be able to keep running cross country or does it take a long time to heal?

I suppose it is OK to test out your ability to run, however if you start to feel any pain at all as a result then you have to stop running until this injury subsides. It shouldn’t take long to heal but I can’t estimate because I don’t know the type or severity of this injury. The Doctor will give you an idea after you have a Physical exam.
