Night Running

Image by bitzcelt
I illuminated the first tree with a hand held flash from the left side. My goal was to illuminate the far tree as well. I had about twenty seconds to sprint from the first tree to the second. Half way there I started to have chest pains so I sat down and took a break. I will start exercising on monday and will try this again next month.

I love to make experiments like this myself, – but rarely with such a great result.

Aug 08, 12 at 1:34 ami’ve now stopped laughing long enough to type! very bad of me but the mental image was too much:-)
I like this one a lot, and maybe if you had managed to light the back one the end result wouldn’t have had the same ethereal quality to it, looks like some divine light has singled out the tree on the right.

Thank you for the invite and the kind words.
@Loraine,
Glad you had a good laugh, at my expense of course. I will try this again. I know with the right training and a proper diet I can make it to the far tree. If all else fails, I can bring my bike next time.

Aug 08, 12 at 6:57 amYou make me want to go out and buy an off-board flash from just looking at this and your previous shots. The colors are strange, but really interesting. I especially value that you can see stars through all the external sources of light.
I can’t wait to see your next version of this. Great work!

Aug 08, 12 at 7:33 amthank you everyone for the kind comments.
@DownTown, glad you got a good chuckle out of this. I went tot he gym Yesterday.
@Eterni,
I did this with a 20 + old external Minolta flash, as well as the shot of the house. To bad it is not compatable with my Nikon. Hopefully there is a speedlight in my near future.
