My Mom thinks she has MS?
PAIN PILLS! NO PPRESCRIPTION REQUIRED - DON'T CLICK!!!Question by slinkey505: My Mom thinks she has MS?
My mom is 52 years old, and has been seeing double and having foot pains for over a month. The eye doctors can’t explain her eye problems, and she has a family history of MS. Her mother was diagnosed at the age of 52, the same age as my mom is now.
My mom doesn’t want to see a doctor because she is switching insurance providers in less than a month, and is afraid of a radical rate hike. Is there anything that she should be aware of? Is there anything else it could be? Any help would be appreciated.

Eye problems are not necessarily MS, and Multiple Sclerosis is not hereditary disease. So it could be anything, and not likely serious. But only the MRI scan can tell – http://healthmad.com/conditions-and-diseases/what-is-multiple-sclerosis/
Anyways, this is the best any MS patient can do:

Black seed oil is super-beneficial too:

Jul 05, 12 at 2:26 pmHi Slinkey, If your Mom had an inflamed optic nerve, then I could see her being worried about MS. But if her eye doctor did not see an inflamed optic nerve, I see no reason to assume that she has MS at all. If on the other hand, the doc saw an inflamed optic nerve, he or she would have referred your mom to a neurologist. That is standard practice since optic neuritis many times precedes the diagnosis of MS.
In general, MS does not run in families. Even people who have a first degree relative with MS only have a 1% to 3% greater chance of developing MS over the rest of the population. For all intensive purposes that is next to nothing. Researchers have known for decades that MS is caused by environmental factors. You cannot inherit MS from a relative. If you could, everyone who has MS would have a relative with it. That is not the case.
I have had MS for 20 years. My guess is that the foot pains and the double vision are entirely unrelated. I have no medical training and consequently have no idea of what might be causing either problem. Google double vision and see what comes up.
