What is causing the pain in the top of my foot?

PAIN PILLS! NO PPRESCRIPTION REQUIRED - DON'T CLICK!!!

Question by : What is causing the pain in the top of my foot?
After leaving the Gym on Friday I noticed a pain on the left side on the top of my right foot. Over the weekend I had a lot to do so I was unable to stay off it and it has gotten much worse. If it continues to hurt for a couple more days I will have it looked at. Does anyone know what this could be? Pulled or strained muscle possibly? The workout I did was cycling and the stair stepper? Also what treatment would be best? Ice or heat?

Thanks

How can runner’s knee or ITB syndrome affect your running?

Question by : How can runner’s knee or ITB syndrome affect your running?
About a week ago I noticed that a half hour or so after I ran my right knee would start to hurt. However the pain didn’t get bad enough to really get my attention until last night. I’ve been doing some online research and it sound’s like I could have ITB Syndrome. I’m going to ask my doctor about this soon but any additional information would be appreciated. For example how long does it take to treat, how do you treat it, and can you still race while the treatment is still ongoing?

Weren’t you able to answer those questions when you did your online research? How long it lasts depends on how bad it is. You treat it with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation). I strongly recommend you don’t run while still feeling it’s effects or you fall into a injury cycle and never really recuperate. Your doctor will be better able to advise you and can also provide some anti-inflammatory medication if deemed necessary.

Q&A: Can omega 3 tables and joint pain suppiments increase chance of gaining weight?

Question by : Can omega 3 tables and joint pain suppiments increase chance of gaining weight?

Answer by Dan M
I am not a doctor and I do not know what kind of joint pain supplemnts you are taking. I do not think that either of these two would increase your wieght. If you take a good quality Omega 3 supplement it is very likely your inflammation will decrease. Inflammation is what causes the joiint pain – most of the time. If the inflammation decreases and you start feeling less pain you might excecise more. In which case it would help you lose wieght and not gain weight. I would not worry about gaining wieght tfrom these. I have aches and pains and have leanred of a product which I have no affiliation with – it just works. It is from garden of life called FYI (For Your Inflammation). This product has been very helpful to me.

sharp pain, left side, above hip bone and below rip cage?

Question by snowleopard: sharp pain, left side, above hip bone and below rip cage?
I’ve got this HORRIBLE pulsing pain on the left side of my stomach, it’s just above my hip bone, and under my rib cage. I’m 16 so I don’t really think it could be anything too serious, but it has waves of pain, and i can’t take it anymore. However I’ve only had it for one morning, starting today, I’m kinda worried.

Go to a doctor and ask them to have tests done so as to get rid of the anxiety.
Try alternative therapies, such as a massage, to relax you.
