Question by : My Dr is weaning me off of vicoden and replacing it with morphine? chronic pain?
I have been on extremely high doses of norco 10/325 for a long time. my dr is putting me on morphine, how fast does the tolerance take to build up to morphine. Its because of the tylenol. anyone had a similar problem.I suffer from chronic pain

try to take the lowest possible doses of Morphine but regardless of the way you take it you will get a tolerance over the course of a few months. It is also wildly addictive and causes terrible nausea in large doses. i loved it when I took it though.

10 year old with possible head or spine trauma?

Question by MamaMi: 10 year old with possible head or spine trauma?
I know a woman who had her child seated on her lap in the passenger seat while her boyfriend was driving. Don’t even get me started on that part. But they were rear-ended and her face hit the back of her son’s head. He is 10. This all happened last tuesday. (I just found out about it) Her face is pretty bruised and the doctor told her she would recover. She also keeps bleeding from her eye. Now to avoid a ticket she had her son’s father come get him before calling the police. I know GO MOM! This child has not been to the doctor to have an x-ray or a CT or anything. I am probably going to call Child Protection Services, but I wanted to know if he could have trauma to the spine or brain and not be exhibiting symptoms

From what I understand from my kids’ concussions, yes he could have trauma and show no signs…yet!

Does an extremely low fat diet cause major joint pain especially in the back and cold appendages? ?

Question by FluffyPanda: Does an extremely low fat diet cause major joint pain especially in the back and cold appendages? ?
the only fat I eat these days are from a few eggs a day and the little bit of butter I put on the frying pan, beside that I eat mostly carbs and protein without fat.

Recently I’ve been getting joint pain everywhere and my spin feels like it’s going to snap off. my neck spin area hurts.

I’ve also been getting extremely cold hands, feet and tip of the nose.

Is this due to my very low fat diet?

Best answer:

Answer by McLovin
Could be. Joint pain is definately a possiblity in low fat diets as there is often less lubrication around your joints/tendons. The consensus is usually to use a joint health supplement containing glucosamine and condroitin. Although these supps usually take a while to really kick in, there are some fast acting glucosamine/condroitin formulas out there that will help lubricate your joints.

Q&A: Foot pain after neuroma surgeries?

Question by Susan F: Foot pain after neuroma surgeries?
I have had several neuroma surgeries on my right foor and one on the left.
Now my right foot tingles, itchy feeling,or like something burning up on the middle toe and shoots toward the arch. The Podiatrist has used alcohol shots to kill the nerves but that hasn’t helped. He has me on high doses of vit. B12 for diabetic neuropothy. During the day it’s uncomfortable but at night it is really distracting and I have trouble sleeping. Any help will do.
