The obbligation of a doctor is to provide services which maintain and cure the human body?
Question by Cassius: The obbligation of a doctor is to provide services which maintain and cure the human body?
and provide first aid whenever he can, while a pharmacy is obligated to hand out whatever a doctor says his patient needs. Everything beyond that, like plastic surgery, is not an immediate obligation of a doctor.
How do you feel about birth control ? Right now a doctor is only obligated to terminate a pregnancy if there are complications involved that might harm the mother and a pharmacist isnt any more obligated to sell morning after pills than he is to sell candy.
Should a doctor be obligated to perform an abortion on a rape victim that whishes one or should he be allowed to refuse rendering services to somone he diagnoesd as healthy forwarding the girl to a psychatrist to deal with her emotional trauma ? Right now random abortions are not a doctors job or obligation although he might be qualified for it, just like plastic surgery, piercings, tatoos, branding, should it become one ?
Juniper antibiotics go with the maintainance of the body. And yes it is up to the doctor to decide weather or not to give them, like with every other medicine. If the doctor refuses to take responsibility for giving you antibiotics you just have to accept it, the way you have to accept if he refuses to interrupt the natural process of a pregnancy if there is no immediate medical necessity to do so.
and an abortion IS an elective service, Iam not even sure the doctor can perform an abortion against your will if you are almost sure to die.
A doctor may refuse his services yes, he is not obligated to medicat an hypochondria or to give you that piercing or abortion, however if you get seriously sick and a qualified doctor refuses to render his services for no good reason he can be held responsibel.
and JUNIPER a jehowa whitness who acts the way you described braches the oath.
Refuses to give Antibiotics when it is NOT the best course of action. There really is no reason from a medical point of view to interrupt an normal pregnancy.
What is a rape clinic ?

It is quite strange that you compare reproductive health services to elective procedures. When a doctor prescribes prophylactic antibiotics, the purpose is to prevent a medical situation from happening. Should a doctor wait until a person develops septic shock before treating the infection, or is it acceptable for him to help the person from getting it in the first place? Doctors use technology all the time to interefere in the “natural order” of things. The question is, should doctors be allowed to refuse to provide safe, proven medical treatments to his patients because he personally doesn’t agree with them?
Do you believe that a Jehovah’s Witness should be allowed to become a doctor and then refuse to do blood transplants? What if you were brought into the E.R., bleeding profusely, and the only doctor available at the time decided to exercise his right to refuse treatment to you based on his beliefs? What if he also believed in “letting God decide” and denied your ailing grandmother a round of preventative antibiotics, and she later died? Exactly WHAT technological advances are you against? Only the ones that concern women?
EDIT: Nope, antibiotics are used sometimes as a *preventative* measure. If it is the best course of action, and a doctor refuses to offer them, he can and should be sued. That’s called *malpractice*. He is obligated to let his patients know about ALL medical treatments, preventative or otherwise, that are available to them. If a patient is having trouble with his heart, and a bypass surgery is the best option, you think a doctor should be able to keep his mouth shut? If it’s not in his line of expertise, shouldn’t he recommend another doctor? Isn’t it unethical to just smugly “refuse” to treat him?

Chest pain when I breathe in deeply?
Question by teknique: Chest pain when I breathe in deeply?
I’m 23.I have chest pain when breathing in, but only on the right side. When I push out my chest and breathe in it hurts a bit more, and when I arch my back forward into a hunchback position, it doesn’t hurt at all when I breathe in. Anyone ever experience this before? I’m nervous that I might not wake up tomorrow morning if this is a pulmonary embolism or something.
I think it started out as slight back pain and then became chest pain when breathing in the early evening.

I’ve just got over something similar called costochondritis. Its a none serious virus that causes inflammation of the cartilidge between the ribs and breastbone. Just got some painkillers form the doc and it went away after a couple of weeks.

Q&A: Chronic Joint Pain in the legs….should I work out?
Question by Tori: Chronic Joint Pain in the legs….should I work out?
Chronic joint pain in the legs…should I still work out?
I applied for a gym today and am a little hesitant about making my leg pain worse than it is. When i was in high school I saw a doctor and was diagnosed with “loose cartilage” in my knees. Since then I haven’t been able to afford to see a doctor, so sadly, that’s just out of the question. However, I have been wanting to start working out, but sometimes the pain in my legs is almost unbearable when I am out all day running errands. Will I risk a more serious injury in my knees if I work them at a gym? Will it help them? I’m afraid to ask the gym manager because he’ll simply tell me to see a doctor, and probably wouldn’t allow me to get my membership there if I don’t.
Does anyone know about this condition of loose cartilage in the knees?
Best answer:
Answer by Cutty
Sorry to hear that!
You need to rebuild the cartilage in you knee or have it removed.
The best way to re-build it is with Chondroitin or Glucosamine. We have a product that will help you with that www.nzvel.com.
My brother had surgery on his ankle for the same thing and used Deer Velvet for recovery.
The doctor said he would not be running again for 3 months, he was back playing rugby in 2 months.
If you do exercise make sure it is low impact. Get on the bike or try swimming.
Good luck with this.

Pain on top of foot like charlie horse; why?
Question by Peggy N: Pain on top of foot like charlie horse; why?
I keep getting a pain on the top of my foot. I haven’t fell or had any serious injury. Any clue as to what causes top of the foot pain?
– Thanks

Answer by Fred S
Where on the top of the foot is it hurting? If it’s where the toes meet the rest of the foot, it’s possible that you may be suffering from Morton’s Neuroma, which often results from continuous or repeated compression of the nerve between the third and fourth metatarsal bones. Morton’s Neuroma is very similar to Metatarsalgia (ball of foot pain), but it also involves other symptoms such as numbness and a tingling sensation in the toes. This condition can be quite uncomfortable and painful at times.
In some cases, the symptoms are often relieved by removal of tight-fitting footwear. In others, wearing ladies’ fashion shoes and high heels can cause undue stress on these nerves. In these cases, orthotics desugned for high-heel shoes can help relieve the painful symptoms brought on by this condition.
